The translation was done on the Good News version, where it says in John 1:1 "In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God". This the new version but the old version says ...... and the Word was like God! - that is why the Liwan translation says " ... miagal nopo kopio do Kinorohingan oh boros diri" but the right translation should be " Boros nopo diri .... nga Kinorohingan."
I prefer the KJV, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." "Ih nopo di timpuun ih nga ino ih Boos, om Boos nopo dii nga miampai do Kinoingan, om Boos nopo dii nga Kinoingan."
I believe that the revised versions, which is now called Good News Translation or Contemporary English Version, had done a lot of re-translation. see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_News_Bible
